XMAS AND NEW YEAR!

- Christmas eve meal was immense - so much food - girls did great job, then we did secret Santa and got drunk - I got a punch gun! Little toy gun that and you squeeze trigger and it punches people!!

- Christmas day we went to Bronte beach, had a kickabout, went in the sea - there were huuuge waves, then to Tracy's for another big meal and banter - played cards against humanity an inappropriate game all about being rude/funny! Went out in evening with Mark to Star casino which was cool, almost like a mini Las Vegas!

- Boxing Day - went up sydney tower and then went to Fi's for a swim, jacuzzi and trivial pursuit!

- 27th - sea life aquarium, saw some sharks! Becky's party in the evening - I threw up everywhere haha first chunder in Sydney!

- 28th - recover, the rocks for drinks overlooking Opera house and city

- 29th - Taronga Zoo, Aaron's friends got here, went out for a few in newtown - we nearly stole someone's dog

- 30th - Bondi-Coogee walk, bondi was so busy, got loads of colour ;) bbq at coogee then out in Surry hills for a few in clock

- 31st got up and started gooning at 11ish, slow pace though as we had a loooong way to go! Frying pan cricket and goon pong at ours for pre pre pres then to the BUNAC flat (where we were Xmas eve) for pre pres then Zoe's near Luna park for pres and Luna Park for NYE! Free rollercoaster rides all night, decent view of fireworks and a huge club tent which was badass!

Ceebs with pics, gunna make a big bid when I finish the road trip with Mark anyway!

Finishing work, Pittwater and Mark arriving!

It's CHRISTMAS EVE AAAAAAH!

Last week was my final week of work for a 3 weeks and was in the city which was nice after Tassie and Canberra the weeks before! 15 sales in the week so roughly a grand after bond :)

Straight from work on Friday I went to Pittwater YHA for the weekend - it's a few hours north of Sydney by busses and ferry/water taxi so a bit of a mare to get to because it's right out in the middle of nowehere!

A good group of 8 BUNACers went though and it was an amazing few days. Saw a few wallabies, jellyfish, shit loads of crabs and this big fucker!

We went kayaking the day after we arrived and I have some quality GoPro footage of that. Stopped at a lovely beach with a rope swing and we invented a class game called Beach Dangerball too - it involves a tennis ball and those sticky pads you catch it with, was a good laugh. We were afraid to do too much swimming coz there were jellyfish everywhere and we didn't yet realise that they weren't dangerous haha! In the afternoon we played Monopoly and I got through to the last 3 of the starting 8 but then lost :(

The next day we went down to the jetty to go swimming - GoProed that too because why not! These are some photos I took just before we left.

Went out in Sydney on Monday and Tuesday(yesterday) nights which was good fun but I keep getting refused entry even when I'm not that drunk it's bullshit. I think goon does something to my eyes that makes me look drunk! Anyway Mark got here yesterday and we went to my work Christmas beach party which was really good - they're all a great bunch and there was free food and beers :) Corona/Peroni's too not just shite beer! It started out sunny then got thundery and rained but noone really cared haha. Then went out last night with Mark for his bday first night in Sydney :)

Photos from ferry on way over to Manly beach:

Manly beach.

Christmas Eve today - having a proper meal and secret santa at our BUNAC mates flat! Going to put on Die Hard now :D:D

Merry Christmas xoxo

Back in the big city

Sunday 17:30

Got back from Canberra Saturday evening after getting a PB of 6 in a day and hitting 23 sales for the week which is exactly what I got the week before in Tassie!

Straight on the goon once I got back and then went out to a flat warming party for some BUNACers who have moved into a place so was nice to see the crew but everyone was absolutely gooned!

Slept most of today but might go for a few drinks with the work people tonight if I can hack it after last night 😑

Boat party shenanigans and Canberra!

Sup!

So got back from Tassie on Sat night, went to a boat party yesterday and now I'm in Canberra with 2 sales by 3:30 after a nice 5:40am wake up in Sydney!

Boat party was sicccckkk - there was about 10 of us (BUNAC lot) and we prooned (pre-gooned) pretty hard from 11 so were well on our way when we set sail at 1pm!

Bottom deck had some interesting Latin vibes going on but upstairs there was some good old tech/deep house to skank to and the free drink and kebab went down a treat :)

Funky weather in Sydney - this was just before it started thundering and lightninging

Things took a turn when Aaron and I decided to jump off the boat to go for a swim in Sydney harbour (yes there is Go Pro footage). Apparently jumping off the boat is not an okay thing to do at a boat party? It was moving to be fair but still. Anyway the boat pulled in just for us and we got bounced. Annoyingly Jess had all our phones and money from when we jumped in so we had $2 between us and were a long way from home. Managed to borrow strangers phones to ring our own phones and finally met up with the guys once they'd docked although had to treck all the way across harbour bridge and through the city to find them :(

Excited for Canberra - hopefully should become a leader today or tomorrow and I'm bringing in a few BUNACers too so building my own team! Team name suggestions welcome..

Work hard, play hard. Stereosonic and Tasmania!

Wassup homies,

So shit got pretty cray these last two weeks hence why I've been out of touch so sorry again for that (do I start every blog with an apology?)

Anyway first things first.. the new job - I sign people up for charity in shopping centres or outside supermarkets. It's either UNICEF or Starlight (which is like Make a Wish in the UK) and there's usually two or three of us on a booth. I do get commission but the way it works is really good for the charity - basically if i sign someone up then VMG (a marketing and sales company) pay me commission but they don't get paid by the charity until the donor has donated for 4 months so that charity only pay out once they have been paid. It just means we don't take a cut of the donations - all the money people sign up for goes to the charity and then they only pay VMG when they've begun making profit which is much better for them than forking out upfront for TV ads that may or may not get them support.

Worked pretty flat out for the past two weeks - morning meetings are at 7:30am and we don't usually leave sites till 6/7ish which is a big chunk of time. First week was in the city and was pretty knackering but still managed to catch an outdoor cinema screening of Elf after work on Thursday which was cool! Sat in deck chairs outside watching a Christmas film was a new experience!

The weekend brought STEREOSONIC a huuuuuge music festival that I had a ticket for and I went on Saturday - highlights include Dash Berlin, Steve Aoki and Alesso! Was an awesome day but I couldn't go Sunday as well because we had to leave for the Tasmania road trip with work early Sunday morning!

Tassie was awesome though - weather is much more bearable than Sydney and together with the scenery it reminded me a lot of the UK.

On the Sunday we arrived and went to visit the gorge which was really pretty (photo below is a shite angle and doesn't do it justice). Me and the other new lad actually went for a swim in it which was interesting - it was quite cold and murky :/ (in the gorge, not the swimming pool infront of it!)

There was 8 of us on the roadtrip and we rented a car (which I drove yaaaay) and stayed in a nice house that had obviously been rented for the week and was much better than a hostel or hotel. We smashed sales all week on the road trip working all day everyday in sites all over Tassie so in the last two weeks I've made over $2K which is a really tidy sum to put towards more travelling and pretty amazing considering how long it would've taken me to make the same amount working in the UK!

View of Tassie as we were leaving

Clouds on the way back to Sydney!

Got another roadtrip leaving on Monday to Canberra which will be good (why am I even paying rent in Sydney ffs?) haha hopefully can smash some more sales in these last two weeks before Xmas in preparation for when Mark gets here and I sack off work and travel up the coast with him for a bit!

Peace x
