Adelaide --> Victoria

Had a wild Saturday night playing Cluedo in the hostel and getting baked then Sunday morning we moved hostel to one nearer the centre. Got ourselves some free bikes and went for a cycle around Adelaide but, as pretty as it was, there wasn't much going on and we didn't last long on the BMX track either.

Managed to find somewhere to buy the brake pads we needed ourselves thanks to Steve (my Nana's friends husband in Melbourne) who heard about our problem and told us where to go that was open. So that meant we just needed someone to fit them, but unfortunately noone was open to do it till Tuesday.

The rest of Sunday I binged on House of Cards until I'd completed it, so nice to have wifi again!

Monday we did a similar amount of nothing. Watched more TV, got high and watched the inbetweeners 2.

Tuesday morning managed to get the car fixed first thing and hit the road. Annoyingly, the brake pads didn't actually need changing just yet according to mechanic no. 2 and the sound we were hearing was probably something stuck in the tail shaft and not a real problem but mechanic no. 1 had clearly just wanted money and lied to us. Bollocks.

We left Adelaide when we'd checked out and bombed it as far as we could towards Melbourne. Saw lots of beautiful vineyards and the leaves are all changing colour as it moves into Autumn over here!

Also saw some albino kangaroos at a special sanctuary!

Aaaand some traditional brown Kangaroos near where we were camping for the night..

Camped at Bool Lagoon last night then went to see Naracoorte caves this morning which were average. We only paid for the cheapest cave tbf! There was quite a few and one cave is actually a world heritage site - lots of old fossils of big old mammals and shit (Australia's version of mammoths and sabre-tooths).

On the way to Port Campbell now and we just crossed over into Victoria so we've lost half an hour!

Keep it real.

PS. My mate from work in Sydney has been working at a pecan farm a few hours out of Brisbane and I'm going to go work there with him for a month starting on Monday. It's unpaid but food and accommodation are included so is a good place to stay while I find something else paid. It looks really cool too - he regularly goes quad-biking, fishing and shooting :)
