Stuck in Shadelaide πŸ˜’

G'day,

Got to Adelaide in one piece - although we drove past the motel 10 metres so Aaron reversed back down the road and hit a lamppost but the Pajero is tough and he wasn't going fast so no damage to report! Having said that some police were tailing us (blame the bald heads) and saw us checking the car for damage so asked us what happened haha ooooops

Anyway we got out of the cold night air and had a nice sleep before moving into a hostel in the morning. The hostel wasn't in the city centre but was in Port Adelaide about 30 minutes out so was quieter. We had a look round the city centre but it was soooo dead and when we tried to find a supermarket they were all closed because it's Good Friday - who knew the Aussies gave a fuck about Easter?! Any excuse for a day off!

Rest of the day was spent chilling and we played poker in the evening. I feel like the blog is going to go downhill now our bank balances are almost sub-$500!

This morning we had a look at the kite show by the beach and it was actually really impressive - some massive kites and we actually made one fly that had fallen to the beach!

We were excited for a free wine tasting in the vineyards South of Adelaide but we heard a metallic ticking that got faster with the car's speed as if something was loose so got under the car and couldn't find the problem so went to get it checked out and turns out it was the back right brake pad and our rear brake pads need replacing .. ofcourse they do.

We debated not doing it because it's easy enough to use the gears to slow down and 1 break pad going still leaves 3 but the sound is quite obvious so it would be difficult to sell without someone getting suspicious and if it goes it can really fuck the car.

Problem tomorrow is Easter Sunday and then Easter Monday so the parts can't be ordered till Tuesday and hopefully will get here in a few hours then be fitted by the afternoon. ... *hopefully* ...

Looks like we'll be stuck here a little while longerπŸ˜΅πŸ”«
